It is One Year Later, and the immortal Vandal Savage returns from a year in space riding a comet. We follow his memories of his first kill, him killing the inventor of the wheel, his attempt to overthrow Constantine, and being in chains as a slave. Inter woven, we learn of the loss of his modern day empire, his organs banks destroyed, his lieutenants dead or deserted, his organs failing and brain tumor.
