Anita joins Detective Dolph Storr at the scene of a murdered child. While trying--and failing--to keep her composure and professionalism, Anita realizes that they are being watched. Her paranormal senses lead her to a vampire, who automatically becomes the primary suspect. The vampire, Adam, denies any involvement in the child's death and after some persuasion--namely the threat of being executed--he agrees to go with Det. Storr to answer some questions. Anita goes to Dead Dave's to get some information on the vampire and on his boss, who runs Ruilty Pleasures strip club. That night Anita and Det. Storr go to Guilty Pleasures and meet the owner, a master vampire named Jean-Claude. After a minor verbal sparing match with Jean-Claude, and an attempted huffy departure, Anita and Det. Storr question Jean-Claude about the murder. His alibi seems to be air-tight, and Det. Storr is convinced that Jean-Claude and Adam are innocent of the crime. The next day finds Anita and Det. Storr at another murder scene. The suspect this time is a vampire named Sean. When he finds out that Anita is the Executioner--the much-feared vampire hunter--he freaks out, mind controls a cop and gets a holy beatdown courtesy of Anita and her cross. Sean confesses to the murders, until he realizes they are trying to finger him for the murders of eight children. Sean swears he had nothing to do with those murders, and as proof, leads the police to a field where twelve bodies are buried. When Anita asks Sean where his kiss--a group of vampires--is located during the day, Sean again goes ballistic and attacks Anita.
